Out of the office for an extended period of time? Don’t have access to a charger? Nowadays, smartphones are among our most trusted and important tools for productivity and organization–and letting the battery go dead can be a crippling event. Luckily, Apple has introduced a new way to squeeze the most out of your battery on your iPhone and iPad.
Simply turn on Low Power Mode in your device’s settings.
Go to Settings > Battery and switch Low Power Mode to “On.” When your battery reaches 20%, your phone will ask to turn it on for you. Once engaged, your phone will automatically turn off background app refresh, automatic downloads, email refresh, and other battery-draining features.
